Nice to meet you!

I am Tanya Swami, a UX Designer and hobbyist painter based in Seattle.

I am a self-driven, ambitious, and optimistic person who enjoys celebrating the small things in life.

I was born and raised in Delhi, the heart of India. My essence lies in the rich and diverse culture of the place. It led me to be an individual who loves to travel, meet people, and hear their stories. I am endlessly curious and intrigued by human behavior. This urge to learn has made me more collaborative and a people person who values open communication and constructive feedback.

I started my career as an engineer but soon found my inner calling for design. I studied design at NID, Ahmedabad, and have been working as a designer, on a wide range of products, for 3+ years. Most recently, I worked as a UX Designer for Expedia Group.

I like traveling and being around people. It made me more adaptable, collaborative, and a people person who values open communication and constructive feedback. I am a keen observer and have an eye for detail. I believe details translate ordinary into magical.

I started my career as an engineer but soon found a greater inclination for design. I attended the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India. I was fortunate to attain a full academic scholarship to study for a semester at the Hochschule Hannover, Germany. Though my major was product design, I got a chance to explore animation, UX, generative art with Processing. The learning that happened by meeting people who share the same passion, but a different background and skillset, was phenomenal. Also, Europe was a paradise for the traveler and artist in me.

I was born and raised in Delhi, the heart of India. The rich and diverse culture of the place made me an individual who loves to meet people and hear their stories. I am endlessly curious, intrigued by human behavior, which drives my interest in empathy mapping and scenario building.
