Generate ideas & insights with Transportation Vision Quest
The Transportation Vision Quest is a card game meant to be used by just about anybody who wants to understand a current or proposed transportation system. The game provokes discussion by sensitising people to the various perspectives that need to be reflected upon for making a truly robust and holistically designed system.
HOW TO PLAY
Build a scenario of the proposed transportation system and try to sustain it with all the elements that come at each step during the game
3-4 members make a team.
Game becomes more interesting with multiple teams.
6-8 cards (4 distinct categories) per team. Each card has a unique role in co-creation process.
10 -15 mins: build the scenario.
5 -10 mins: incorporate wildcard.
10 mins: present to other teams.
MISSION CARD​
Mission sets the premise for scenario building. Each team builds a scenario as per their team mission.
1 PER TEAM
SHOES CARD
Get into the shoes of one of the stakeholders of the system. Think and behave like what the actual person would do in that scenario.
1 PER PLAYER
PERSPECTIVE CARDS
Consider distinct perspectives (Social, Political, Economic, Tech. & Trends, Environment) while building the scenario.
3-5 PER TEAM
WILDCARD
A situation that stirs up the scenario built so far. To be introduced after 10-15 mins of game play.
